Robert Dwayne McIntire. Robert Dwayne McIntire, 62, Logansport, passed away at 11:12 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana.


He was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Logansport, to the late Leo McIntire Jr. and Lora Murphy..

Dwayne was a former mechanic for Kinzie's Auto Sales and J.D. Byryder. He was also part owner and promoter of the Miami County Speedway. Dwayne was an avid race enthusiast.

Survivors include his companion of 30 years, Connie Edmisson of Logansport; three nephews, Eric McIntire of Rochester, Brandon McIntire of Terre Haute and Shannon McIntire of Frankfort; two uncles, Phillip (Mary Ann) McIntire of Logansport and Richard McIntire of Yuma, Ariz.; and several cousins.

A celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with

Chaplain Dave Cochran officiating.

Cremation will be handled by the Cass County Crematory and burial will be at a later date in
the Royal Center Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services Wednesday 
at the funeral home..

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Joyce A McCord

Joyce A. Bryant, age 71, Logansport, passed
away at 8:04 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at WoodBridge Health Campus.



Born September 30, 1951, in Logansport, she was the daughter of John “Jack” and Rosemary TerDoest McCord.

On July 3, 1971, she married Steve Bryant, who preceded her in death on August 7, 2021.

Joyce and her husband had resided in Missouri and Indianapolis before returning to Logansport in 1994.

She enjoyed reading and in earlier years, gardening and yard work.

Surviving are a son, Darian (Suzanne) Bryant; twin sister, Janis (Joseph) Molencupp; grandchildren, Victoria Phillips (Jarrod), Dariana Bryant,  Anthony Bryant; great Grandchildren, Noah Phillips, Naomi Phillips, and Nova Phillips.

Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Blake (Allison) Molencupp, Dawson Warner, Matthew Molencupp, Mandie Warner, and Rose (Daniel) Opp.

Preceding her in death were her Husband, Steve Bryant, and sister, Jackie McCord.

Arrangements are currently pending, tentatively set for Tuesday, March 21st.

Tom Morehead

Thomas “Moe” G. Morehead, 66 of Monticello, formerly of Logansport, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at IU White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

Born on December 5, 1950 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Betty M. (Sink) Morehead. On July 10, 1976 in Logansport he married Patricia Frank who survives.

Tom worked for the Logansport Municipal Utilities for 24 years, he had also served as the sexton at Mt Hope Cemetery in Logansport. Most recently he had been working part time for the White County Sheriff’s Department.

Tom was a 1969 graduate of Logansport High School. After high school, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War while stationed on the USS BIDDLE DLG 34.

Tom was a former drummer for several bands including the Silver Creek Band, Snicker and the Midnight Flyers. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and absolutely loved living the lake life and watching his grandkids.

Surviving along with his wife Pat is a son, Charles (Erin) Morehead; two daughters, Joey (Troy) Mowery; Julie (Mike) Minthorn, all of Monticello; grandchildren, Brandi (Eric) Rozzi; Luke and Lucy Mowery; Easton and Dayton Minthorn; Cameron and Clark Morehead; great grandchildren, Grayson and Libby Rozzi.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 3, 2017 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. 

Burial with Full Military Graveside Rites will be held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2017 also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Jeff  Nicoles

Jeffery J. Nicoles, 62, Logansport, passed away at 3:28 a.m.Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Caring Hands Health and Rehab, Peru.

Born on Nov. 11, 1950, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Marvin A. and Baunetta F. (Sink) Nicoles.

Jeffery was a 1969 graduate of Logansport High School, where he played varsity basketball, and was a NCC MVP pitcher in baseball. He received an academic and athletic scholarship to attend DePauw University, he then received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University, and his master's degree from Butler University.

He was a former officer manager for Hartford and AIG Insurance companies. He spent a lot of his time working on political campaigns for both parties. Jeffery was an avid researcher of Cass County history.

Surviving Jeffery are one brother, Gregory (Judy) Nicoles, Logansport; one sister, Beverly (Randy) Mitchell, Westfield; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gundrum Funeral Home. 

Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport.. 

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Historical Society..

Don Norris

Donald Norris, 46, 105 E Markland Avenue, Apartment 10, was found dead in his home Tuesday, June 30, 1998.

Born Sept 8, 1951, in Rochester, Indiana, he was the son of Frank Norris of Logansport, who survives, and the late Dixie Ann (Gibbs) Norris.

He worked for Sammons Communication as a cable technician for 10 years.

Also surviving are three daughters, Jennifer Marks of Logansport and Kristi Shaffer and Melinda Laberto both of Colorado; a son Frank Norris of Logansport; and a sister Kathy Strong of Walton.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Friday at Mt Hope Cemetery, Logansport. The Rev Cox of Mission Chapel will officiate. 

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

There are no planned calling hours.
