Funeral services have been set for the four young people killed in a two-car crash on Ind 25 near Delphi Monday.

VIctims were Gary R Jackson, 20, Rt 5, Logansport; Gary D LAwson, 20, Delphi; Miss Janice Burkhalter, Delphi; and C B Gish, Rt 1, Battle Ground.

Services for Gary R Jackson will be conducted at 1:30 pm Wednesday at Calvary Presbyterian Church with the Rev Ronald Felty officiating. Burial will be at Mt Hope Cemetery.

Born Nov 18, 1950, in Bloomington, Jackson was the son of Richard E and June Hart Jackson.He was attending an 18 week aerospace ground equipment school at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, Ill, where he had been since June.

Surviving with the parents are two brothers, Michael S and Christopher A at home; and the maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Frank C Hart, Indianapolis.

Johnny James

A memorial service for Johnny E. James, 56, Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Logansport, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in Kroeger Funeral Home.

He died at 3:23 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2006, in Sacramento, Calif.

Born Dec. 23, 1949, in Logansport, he was the son of Leon Hill and Clara Bell James.

A 1969 graduate of Logansport High School, Johnny had been employed in highway construction.

He was a talented musician and artist and enjoyed writing.

Surviving are his mother, Clara Bell Moore, Indianapolis; one son, John Calvin James, Logansport; daughters and son-in-law, Miya and Moses Bermea and Veronica James, all of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Logan, Diesel, Breann, Moses, Jr., Joshua, Anthony, Jorge, Steven, Destiny and Daniel; one uncle, J.E. James, Cumberland City, Tenn.; three stepsisters, Shirley Kenner, Birmingham, Ala., Ruth Embery, Russiaville, and Carolyn Wright, Lafayette; former wife, Madonna Wise, Houston, Texas; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

His stepfather, Carl Henry Moore, preceded in death.

Edward L. Jeroski, age 63, Logansport, passed away at 2:16 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette.

Born August 8, 1951, in Logansport, he was the son of Tony J. and Betty Burrous Jeroski.

On October 10, 2010 (10-10-10), he married Jill Appollonio.

Ed was the owner of USA Cleaning & Building Maintenance Services.

A 1969 graduate of Logansport High School, he served seventeen years in the Air Force Reserve. He was a member of the American Legion Post 60, VFW Post 3790 and the Lake Bruce Association. 

He enjoyed fishing at Lake Bruce.

Ed was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Jill Appollonio-Jeroski, Logansport; daughter, Tracey (Chris) Reeser, Walton; brother, Anthony Jeroski, Costa Rica and sister, Terrie (Rick) Wiles, Indianapolis; grandsons, Kevin Reeser, Alex Reeser and Lathen Reeser; niece, Haleigh Wiles and nephew, Blake Wiles; and mother-in-law, Shirley Peter.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, also at the funeral home, with visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral. Father Dominic Petan will officiate.

Burial with full military honors will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society, Cass County Historical Society or Logansport Junior Civic Theater, Inc.

Looker, David E

David E Looker, 72 of Royal Center, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, in Franciscan Health Center, Lafayette. 

Born January 22, 1950, in Logansport, he was the son of the late D.A. Looker and Lula Frances (Cotner) Looker. 

Following his graduation from Logansport High School, David enlisted in the U.S. Army October 19, 1969, serving as a Staff Sergeant E-5 during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged in October 20, 1977. During his time in the military, David took college classes to receiving several certifications. He was the recipient of a meritorious service certificate for his role in saving the life of a fellow soldier after the man had been electrocuted. He was proud to be a member of the American Legion Post 60.

David was retired from Matthew Warren/Rockwell International, where he worked as a millwright for over 33 years. A Past Master of the New Waverly Masonic Lodge, David was a member of Logansport's Tipton Masonic Lodge No. 33 and the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite. 

He was fascinated with Native American artifacts and arrowheads and was a member of the Archeological Society. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, welding and fabricating. 

He is survived by his life partner, Pamela Feldt, Royal Center; three sons, Bryan (Julee) Looker, David Jr. (Stephanie) Looker, and Jason (Jessica) Looker; two stepchildren, Janet (Jim) Shipp, and Jason Mullins; seven grandchildren, Connor, Garrett, Madison, Joshua, Emily, Ryan and Ethan; and three step grandchildren, Preston Mullins, and Libby and Michael Shipp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William E. Looker and Richard A. Looker: and two sisters, Rosalie Rowe and Ruth Ann Pursch.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. The Cass County Honor Guard will conclude with full military honors.in tribute to David's outstanding military career.

Kathy Losicki

OAKLAND CITY, IN - Kathryn Anne Charles, 68, of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at her home. 

She was born on Feb. 19, 1951 in South Bend, IN to Edward & Charlotte (Squint) Losicki. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Losicki.

She graduated from Logansport High School in 1969, and had attended Penn High School herfreshman year. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka from 1971 until 1985. 

That year she married Rex Charles and became a pastor's wife for 33 years. During these years she worked at the various day care ministries. Her main hobby was art work - painting and sketching. 

She also led online pain support groups for people all over the world, and engaged in hotline support. The biggest miracle in her life was giving birth to her son, Auston, when doctors thought neither would survive. To God be the glory!

She and her husband Rex served United Methodist Churches in Bremen, Roanoke, Muncie (Madison Street), Star City, Rossville, Waterloo, Flora, Bringhurst, Holland/Zoar, and Owensville; all were in the Indiana Conference.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Rex Charles; son, Auston Charles of Oakland City; daughter,
Christine (Kyle) Brown and granddaughter, Brielle Brown of Sierra Vista, AZ.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, with burial in Zoar Cemetery near Stendal, IN.

Rev. Darin D. Nossett will be officiating, Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Friday at the chapel.

Richard Allen Lucy, 64, passed away in Texas on Monday, March 21, 2016.

He was born Nov. 12, 1951, in Logansport, to William (Ray) and Mildred (Marie) Lucy.

Rich was a 1973 IU graduate and worked for the Indiana State Department of Health for 36 years. He was very passionate about his country. Some knew him as Pilgrim from his Unified Patriots blog, Pilgrims Corner. He loved reading a good book and traveling to visit friends and family.

His survivors include sister Lois Moore (Lucy), daughter Julia Daniels, son Thomas Hamilton, and grandchildren Tristan Daniels, McKinzie Daniels, Meghan Hamilton and Morgan Hamilton.

A memorial service took place April 28, at Shepherd Lutheran Church, 9201 E. 100 North, Avon. 

Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
