Places for a Photo Op at LHS

The graduating classes of LHS have done a great job of donating items to the school to decorate the "campus." They also make GREAT places to take a photo-op when you are in town.

"Once a Berry, Always a Berry!" is located at the beginning of the sidewalk to the entrance of the high school. Honestly, unless you know where the entrance is you might not find it.

This Block L was donated by this year's graduating class. It is in front of what they call the Berry Bowl. I'm posting a photo of "their" Berry Bowl.

Now don't laugh, the poor kids who have graduated from this version of LHS, unless they were in one of the first classes, have no idea what the REAL Berry Bowl looked like. So we "old folk" just let them have heir beliefs.

Our 25th Reunion gift to LHS. Maybe the prettiest, thanks to Connie Coppock Shoemaker for planting the flowers before our 50th Reunion, and useful since it marks the path into the Berry Patch which is the outdoor education "room" for the school corporation.

This bench is our gift for our 50th Reunion. Probably a good thing to have this next to our stone. Both are on the hill leading to the wooded area known as the Berry Patch. Being that we are all now in the 68 (+/-) age range we may need to use it after we have walked up the hill.

Oh, if you don't know how to get to the new school and you forget most things you knew about Lognsport, no fear, I've got you.

  1. Do you remember how to get to Eastgate and the Football Field? (FYI follow 24-E through town.)
  2. Football field is at the corner of George Street and Lafayette Dr.
  3. Turn right on Lafayette Drive.
  4. Next street (Usher St) turn right.
  5. You will pass Lynwood Dr on your right, you want to turn left on Berry Lane.
  6. When you get to the end of Berry Lane you are at LHS. The street around the high school is ONE WAY LEFT (drive around the building clockwise)
Enjoy your photo-op :) Share your photos on our Facebook page (click the link here or the link at the top of this page) for people to enjoy.
